The "Fine Line" is designed for all types of quilters, quilting machines, and right or left handed quilters. The ruler base is 1/4" thickness and is 2-1/2" wide. By transferring the ability to control the ruler with your fingers using the finger grips, you will ease tension in your shoulders while quilting, the placement of your fingers on the ruler is a natural position for your hand and your arm.
For use with home sewing machine systems! Excellent control. Using the Fine Line Quilter's Ruler on a home sewing machine system,  you never have to break your thread, raise your feed dogs, or change to your walking foot to achieve straight line designs. You can easily outline a block with "stitch in the ditch", or outline your patterns within your block and continue on in "free-motion" without ever breaking your threads.

 Fine Line Quilter's Straight Rulers
For straight line design
The rulers come in three sizes and for two different applications. Sizes are 6", 8" and 12" Regular "Fine Line" and 6" and 8" Applique Fine Line. The difference in application is the resistance strip on the underside of the ruler base. The Applique ruler has a softer resistance strip for working around delicate stitches and raised motifs in blocks and borders.
The regular "Fine Line" has a resistance strip which is the "hook" side of the Velcro. Using an industrial Velcro strip keeps consistency with different battings used in quilting, from low loft to high loft. The tooth bed on the industrial Velcro is deeper, thus keeping you in control on any thickness of quilt sandwich.

- Resistance strip on the underside of the ruler base keeps your ruler in place while quilting.
- Laser scoring on the underside for design width accuracy. Incremental scoring (from needle down) edge of ruler base to edge of hopping foot = 1/4", first scoring from ruler edge = 1/2", second scoring from ruler edge = 1" of width for your designs.
- Incremental scoring is the same on both sides of the ruler base. No matter which hand or direction your ruler is placed, the incremental scoring is the same.
- Finger grips: Promote a natural hand position on the ruler. Keeps you in control of your ruler at all times. Allows you to manipulate the ruler, even a tiny bit, to keep you stitching where you need to be. With the finger grips you can have light resistance or strong resistance on your quilt top. The control is where it needs to be.

 Fine Line Quilter's Continuous Curve Rulers
For continuous curve designs and curved cross-hatching applications.
The CC rulers come in three sizes, 6.5", 10", and 12.5". The resistance strip is perfect for manipulating in small areas while quilting. Concave and Convex are the same radius, thus making the "Fine Line" CC rulers easy to use, easy to align correctly and delivering accurate results.
Quilters using their Domestic sewing machines for quilting will enjoy the "hook" side of the industrial velcro strip on the underside of their "Fine Line" CC rulers. We address the differences between frame quilting and domestic quilting. The stronger resistance strip for domestic quilting gives the quilter better control while guiding the quilt top under the hopping foot. A quilter using a frame system is guiding the hopping foot over the quilt top, exact opposite of a domestic quilter.
